SPAYING

Spaying

Spaying is the procedure that prevents female pets from becoming pregnant and reproducing. It can help your dog or cat live a longer and healthier life. Spaying your pet will help protect against diseases as well, such as bacterial infections, reproductive tract diseases, and several types of cancer.

It also means avoiding the mess that comes with the heat cycle in pets. Plus, spaying means helping to control cat and dog overpopulation, keeping animals out of shelters.

Many people voice concerns that spaying will change their pet’s personality, but rest assured that is not the case.

To set up an appointment for spaying your pet, please give us a call.

It can reduce or eliminate the risk of prostate or testicular cancer, as well as STIs. It will also reduce or eliminate behaviour such as roaming, fighting, humping, and spraying.

Plus, neutering means helping to control cat and dog overpopulation, keeping animals out of shelters.

Many people voice concerns that neutering will change their pet’s personality, but rest assured that is not the case.

SOFT TISSUE

Soft Tissue Surgery

At Court Animal Hospital, we perform many different types of soft tissue surgeries at our clinic. These are surgeries that are not associated with bone and can provide a range of benefits to pets.

The most common variety of these surgeries is the removal of masses or lumps. Most of these masses turn out to be benign (nonharmful) but sometimes they may be more serious. Early diagnosis and removal are necessary to improve the outcome for your pet if the mass is cancerous.

Dogs that suffer from frequent ear infections may undergo surgery to help improve airflow into the ear canal.

Surgery can also with eye problems. Tearing in your pet’s eyes can mean an infection or may be a sign that the outer layer has been damaged. Surgery can allow them to heal faster with less scarring, which improves their ability to see.

Please contact us if you’d like to discuss how soft tissue surgery might be able to help your pet.
